Vice President of Asset Management
Thomas Townsend has been promoted to Vice President of Asset Management at The Richland Companies. In his previous role as Asset Manager, Thomas was responsible for the development of budgets, reconciliation of accounts and searching for prospective commercial real estate investment opportunities. In addition to his current duties, Thomas will now be taking the lead in the daily operations within current properties and strategically planning future additions to Richland’s portfolio.
Before coming to Richland, Townsend spent time as Transaction Coordinator at SwiftLease and as an Outside Sales Representative for UniFirst Corporation.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business, where he also received real estate certification and an undergraduate degree from the University of Houston’s Conrad Hilton School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. While at the Conrad Hilton School, he was on the dean’s list and minored in Beverage Marketing and Management. Additionally, he was President of the Bauer Graduate Real Estate Club and a student representative on the University of Houston’s Real Estate Executive Advisory Board.
